COMMON PROBLEMS
SMELLY FEET
Smelly feet (or bromhidrosis) can be troublesome, uncomfortable and embarrassing. It’s the excessive sweating, combined with bacterial agents, that cause the unpleasant odours. Therefore, by controlling the perspiration of the feet, you can also control the characteristic stinky odour.
Feet can produce a lot of sweat, as they have more sweat glands than on any other part of the body. Unlike sweating of the hands, when your feet sweat, the moisture can’t evaporate as easily. This is because our feet tend to be locked up in shoes for long periods of time. Technically speaking, a type of bacteria that lives naturally on your skin produces isovaleric acid, which then breaks down causing foot odour.
