The Bourque Podiatry Clinics were the first clinics in Canada to have a gait platform over 20 feet in length. Furthermore, the platform uses a special material that keeps its shape regardless of the weight. Unlike traditional platforms, this one can be disinfected between each patients, allowing unparalleled hygiene. This is essential, as it is the only way to prevent the transmission of common problems (warts and athlete’s foot for instance).
The Montreal clinic was founded in 1991 by Dr Michel Bourque. Shortly thereafter, to meet the growing demand, a foot care nurse joined his team.
Dr Scott Pace, a podiatric surgeon, has been performing bone surgery at the clinic since 2009. He has also been working at the Montreal Institute for Special Surgery with a team of anesthesiologists since 2017.
